About the Event: Friday Night Demolition Derby at the Cummington Fair,

Demolition derby is a type of motorsport, usually presented at county fairs and national events. While rules vary from event to event, the typical demolition derby event consists of five or more drivers competing by deliberately ramming their vehicles into one another. The last driver whose vehicle is still operational is awarded the victory. Demolition derbies originated in the United States and quickly spread to other Western nations. For example, Australia’s first demolition derby took place in 15 September 2024  In the  and parts of Europe, demolition derbies (sometimes called “destruction derbies”) are often held at the end of a full day of banger racing.

  2. TICKETS Do not purchase tickets from someone who suddenly cannot attend the fair due to their sister’s dog’s hamster being in an accident (or similarly tragic events)
    We use yapsody as our online ticket merchant. Purchase directly from our yapsody page or at the gate(which is cash only. Stop at the ATM on the way!!).
    There is no extra charge/ticket for the demolition derby. Admission to the fair is all you need!

  3. We do NOT have video streams of the demolition derby, truck pulls or any other event. Do not click any links claiming we do.
  4. FAKE PAGES Last year we had an issue with fake pages being created and commenting all over the place. The real Cummington Fair page(this one) has over 11k likes. A page with very few likes or a profile that wants you to add them as a friend is NOT us, even if they do steal our pictures.
  5. We do our best to get everything deleted in a timely manner, but we’re human. We’re going to miss some comments or posts here and there. If you see something that needs addressed, please tag or message us!
